Lifetime Memories – Trek in Langtang Valley

Langtang trek has amazing panoramic views of the Himalayas comprising the peaks of Langtang Lirung,  Langtang II, Kimshung, Yansa Tsenji, Yala Peak etc. This trek offers breathtaking views and diverse landscapes which holds a rich biodiversity. All routes have the facilities of locally operated hotel/lodge, teahouse, and campgrounds for groups.

We walked through rocks, loose stones, gravel paths, snow, rain, river, bridges, traditional Tamang village and the forest of Bamboo Oaks, Pines and Maples. During our trek we encounter various species of  flora and different species of birds and many wild animals, including yak, chital(wild deer),boar,red panda.

Short Itinerary

Day 01: Kathmandu – Syaprubesi – Tiwari

Day 02: Tiwari – Lama Hotel – Langtang

Day 03: Langtang – Kyanjin Gomba  

Day 04: Kyanjin Gomba – Tserko Ri

Day 05: Kyanjin Gomba – Syabrubesi

Day 06: Syabrubesi – Kathmandu

Langtang Trek Memories

Day 01: Kathmandu – Syabrubesi – Tiwari

We took a jeep from Machapokhari Kathmandu at 8AM and reached Syaprubesi at around 4 PM. After Reaching Syaprubesi, We start our trek into the Langtang Valley. We walked 1 hours to reach Tiwari and having a Lemon Tea.We walked for another 1 hours to reach Paire and stayed there for a night. We took a hot bath there. On the way we asked lots of locals where we could we reach that day. We also mocked them saying that today we have to reach Lama Hotel which was impossible. 

Day 02: Tiwari – Lama Hotel – Langtang

After having breakfast, we started our trek. We walked 1 hours to reach Bamboo. After taking 10 minutes rest, we walked another 3.5 hours to reach Lama Hotel. We had our lunch there and walked for another 4.5 hours to reach Langtang and stayed there for a night. After Thangyshap the weather was poor and the snowfall starts and it makes difficult to walk. Though It’s a beautiful part of the trek.Also We passed through traditional beautiful villages and forests to reach Langtang Valley. Langtang Valley offers to explore and observe the culture, tradition & lifestyle of Tibetian Culture.

Day 03: Langtang – Kyanjin Gomba 

We woke up early, had our breakfast and moved forward to Kyanjin Gomba. We reached Kyanjin Gomba in 3 hours. We had our lunch and take some rest.Then we went to kyanjin ri and back to hotel in 3-4 hours. The views from Kyanjin ri was magnificent, and the surrounding mountains were awesome.

Day 04: Kyanjin Gomba – Tserko Ri

As usual,We woke up early and had our Breakfast, then we started our trek at 06:30am from Kyanjin Gomba.We reached Tserko Ri in 5 hours. We had a coffee and stayed there for a few hours and walked down to Kyanjin Gomba . Then we stay there for another night. It was the incredible views and a wonderful part of trek.

Day 05: Kyanjin Gomba – Syabrubesi              

Then we walked down from Kyanjin gomba through Langtang, Thyangshap, GhodaTabela, Lama Hotel, Bamboo, Paire, Tiwari and Syabrubesi.It was the longest trail in our trek.

Day 06: Syabrubesi – Kathmandu

We completed our trek within 5 days. It was a once in lifetime experience. We came back with a lot of memories and we can not wait to back on the mountains.

When To Trek Lantang Valley?

The best time to trek Langtang Valley is considered to be September to November (Autumn) and March to May (Spring) Which are considered to be before winter and before monsoon respectively.
