Everest Base Camp Trek with Gokyo Lake Experience in Photo Story

”The place where this heart is, Gokyo”

It’s been kind of a labyrinth to me, and that’s all these years gone by have been, comprehending what it would feel and look like when I’m up there. But as they say, moments come when the air around you feels alive, like a melody in the hush hush of the leaves. This was one of those moments, I could walk, run and fly but didn’t. The heaven I imagine is not up somewhere that I can go only after I die, Heaven is here. All around here is at pause, and I’m at peace.
This is heaven – my heart stops here – in the middle of nowhere and yet in the middle of pristine lakes. I was surrounded by mighty Cho-oyo, Ngzompa glacier and Gokyo Ri and it was a cold silence embracing me. A long trek to reach the place, but worth every sweat drop.

Here for you, a handful of those moments where one could and should put watch at rest,
stay a little longer.

Moment – When I saw Gokyo for the first time

I’m gonna swim to the top of the water
Into the waves of the shimmering light
They’re gonna drag me to the shore
But I don’t know who they are
M gonna take my time
Just follow all the pretty lights
Get lost till it feels right
The places I will go
It can be shiny, tiny, strange and windy
But if I’m doing it right
It’s gonna get a little lonely
But that’s all right
The only thing I need to fear
Is shaking hands with the man in this shiny water.

Moment: Standing quietly on top of Gokyo Ri

Congratulations!
Today is your day.
You’re off to Great Heights!
You’re off and high!
You have brains in your head.
You have feet in your shoes.
You can steer yourself
any direction you choose.
You’re on your own.
And you know what you know.
And YOU are the one who’ll decide where to go.

Moment:When I wanted to stay more here.

It always feed my thoughts
When time comes to say
Time to go and
I always want to stay more
Always try to buy more time and then
Witness its wonderful creative power
in nature.
I am talking about Gokyo
It is clear that
You keep Your hand over all things.
You keep Your liveliness in every creature
Small or Big.
as if You are there more present
than at other places,
as if You cherish the whole wide world for me
like the openness of these colors painted by mountains
Blanketing every little thing
against Your chest.
Then I feel more alive, more blessed
And more importantly I feel
More discovered about myself.
Time to go now.
